After distillation the young Calvados enters into the maturing phase in oak barrels.


The Cellar Master carefully chooses the finest barrels destined for the ageing of his distilled spirits.

During the ageing the mysterious exchange between the Calvados, air, and the tannins of the wood give the distilled spirit its colour, its complexity and its roundness.


The Cellar Master follows the maturing of the distilled spirits. His long experience together with his know-how and his personal touch combine to create the identity of Calvados Père Magloire.


Each brand of Calvados has its own quality and taste; it is the Cellar Master’s role to preserve it year after year. Debrise-Dulac is one of the rare producers whose Cellar Master practices his art for over 30 years.
